Some challenge blogs come easy. And some…well, I question my sanity with some. I think it is safe to say that I am questioning my sanity with this week’s challenge.

Truth be told, I don’t know quite what I am thinking. You’ve been warned!!!!

Today is grilled cheese sandwich day. Any sandwich that is important and delicious enough to have its own day should also have its own art challenge, don’t you think?

I know what you are thinking. Erin has finally lost her mind.

That might be a possibility. Either way, I am confident that the art community will come up with some really creative grilled cheese themed art to share with the world.

But, as I was thinking about grilled cheese, I realized something. I don’t want to limit your art submissions to just grilled cheese sandwiches.

But rather, a food themed challenge. I’m hungry just thinking about all the delectable art you’re going to send our way.

This is such a fun challenge. We have some really creative artists at Her Blaze who have already sent some pretty amazing food art.

Take Cal Heath for example. She has made it her intention to help women fall in love with the natural beauty and uniqueness of their bodies.

Despite her intentions with her art, even she made art for this week’s theme.

I am pretty excited about this challenge because, like Hugh Jackman said, “I love food, all types of food. Korean food, Japanese, Italian, French.”

National beer day was a few days back, so maybe you have beer themed art you can send. Well, this is the week for that.

I recently read that Willie Nelson has a hemp coffee product. I love coffee.

We’ve had coffee art, but we’ve never had an artist submit art painted with coffee. Again, this is the week to submit your coffee paintings!

Cal Heath isn’t the only Her Blaze artist who has food related pieces. Kirby Nye has some amazing food related art in her Instagram page.

She has art of pancakes, lollipops, strawberries and bananas. I guess one could say that Kirby could submit more than one piece towards this weeks challenge.

If you’re at all like me, you are devastated by the recent news that the amazing Jack Hanna is living with dementia. He as educated the world in a way that has made a difference in the lives of all animals and many humans.

Jack was known to have said, “the most important thing is to preserve the world we live in. Unless people understand and learn about our world, habits, and animals, they won’t understand that if we don’t protect those habitats, we’ll eventually destroy ourselves.”

So, listen to the words said by Jack and preserve this amazing earth we live on. Take care of the humans, animals and plants.

Create beautiful art. Live a life that leaves this world a better place.

Until next time, art lovers.

Thank You for Reading Her Blaze Blog!
