So many people love beer. According to Jack Nicholson, “beer, it’s the best damn drink in the world.”
The craft beer industry is very popular right now. It made me wonder if, in addition to drinking a cold, frothy beer, are people using it for art too?

Surprisingly, it isn’t as popular as I had initially imagined it would be. That said, I did find some pretty interesting beer art on my journey through the interwebs.

The intriguing thing I found is that very little actually comes up when you search for beer art, which makes it perfect for a blog about untapped art; not to mention the irony of the topic being “untapped”.  Much of what I found was in the form of photography.

I found this art piece on Instagram and thought it was beautiful. The sunflower theme caught my attention but the combining of the beer with the original photo definitely made me look twice.

There is something appealing about the artists combination of photography and digital work.

The sunflowers were eye catching but this photograph of beer and fire is astounding. It took Fredrik Magnusson 240 frames to get this shot right.

I found this piece mesmerizing. In a time when brewing beer has taken off, I would have thought I could find more art using everyone’s favorite adult beverage.

Even though this isn’t a challenge piece, I still hope it’ll encourage you to create some truly unique art using beer and send it our way.

In my search for art utilizing beer, I stumbled upon artists who paint with beer as well as artists who use the bottle caps and the pull tabs. Another take on beer art would be to drink a few beers and make your art piece with “beer googles” on.

According to Craft Beer, there’s even a two-man artist duo who uses empty beer bottles as paint brushes. They dip the round “spout” you drink from in paint and paint in circles. Very creative indeed!

Do you drink beer? Even Martin Luther King Jr loved beer.

He was once heard making a pretty big statement saying, “Whoever drinks beer, he is quick to sleep; whoever sleeps long, does not sin; whoever does not sin, enters Heaven! Thus, let us drink beer!”

The Her Blaze team is hoping that you help us end this epic week with some amazing beer themed art. And, we hope you enjoy a cold beer while creating that art!

As I Leave you to your beer art, I found a quote by Emma Watson, “I have to really enjoy the good things because it makes the bad things okay.”

I feel like this week would be a good time to focus on the positive. The positive happy moments and thoughts are what get us through these trying times.

Thank You for reading Her Blaze Blog!
