Did you know that yesterday was ‘Sister’s Day’? We shouldn’t be surprised because there is literally a day for everything.

Celebrating Sister’s Day makes sense here at Her Blaze because the Founder, Naomi, and her sister, Hannah are the strong source behind everything that happens at Her Blaze.

Therefore,  we are using this ‘Sister’s Day’ as inspiration for this week’s challenge.

We want to see any and all art that can be connected to sisters. We are a sentimental bunch so the more personal your ‘sisters’ art is, the more we want to see and appreciate it.

Maybe you are an artist group of sisters? Do not fret!

We want your submissions too! Sisters art or art made by sisters is exactly why this challenge even exists!

As George R. R. Martin said, “You may be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts. You need her, as she needs you.”

That is the exact feeling we know we will get from your art this week.  You don’t have a sister?

Let famous sisters and  actresses, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Deschanel be your source of inspiration.

Or maybe you’re an athletic person? Serena and Venus Williams would make a great piece of ‘Sister Art’.

Did you know that having a sister is good for your mental health? It is also proven to be good for your physical health.

Having a sister can help one decrease stress when times get tough. A study has even shown having a sister makes one happier, more optimistic and be more successful in one’s career.

Knowing all of the benefits just makes me wonder why we’ve never done this challenge before!

You might say I’m being over-the-top, with the importance of being and having a sister but I don’t think so. I am lucky enough to watch two of the most amazing sisters.

I have seen the connection and unconditional love first hand. I am not lucky enough to have a relationship like theirs, but I am lucky enough to learn from their relationship every day.

So, for the Walker Sisters, the heart and soul of Her Blaze, let’s show our amazing support for sisters by submitting your sister themed art.

No rules, no restrictions. Anything that, in your opinion, fits the theme of sisters!

Also, we want to say a very Happy Birthday tomorrow to Hannah, the Walker sister behind our social media presence!

Comment below and share your sister stories and to wish Hannah a very happy birthday!
